Biography

LMC Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice is privileged to include Ronald Joseph Knoblock, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Knoblock has extensive hospital and professional experience with an impressive academic background.

Dr. Knoblock graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno.

Dr. Knoblock later completed a five-year residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, where he was awarded the Pathology Resident Research Award. He subsequently finished a forensic pathology fellowship at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a hematopathology fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Over the years, Dr. Knoblock has developed an array of teaching, hospital, and administrative experience. He was the medical director of the microbiology laboratory and the flow cytometry laboratory at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was also the director of autopsy services. He is currently the chief of pathology at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, and a clinical assistant professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, positions he holds concurrently with his role at LMC Pathology Services. In 2015, he was recognized as one of the best doctors of Southern Nevada by Desert Companion magazine.

Dr. Knoblock is a member of several professional medical organizations, including the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the American Society for Clinical Pathology. He has coauthored nine articles and abstracts published in peer-reviewed medical journals. He also frequently presents oral and poster presentations at professional society and scholarly meetings.

Dr. Knoblock holds full medical licensure and is board certified in hematopathology, forensic pathology, and anatomic and clinical pathology.
