Biography

Cascade Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Jason K. Hyde, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. An award-winning pathology instructor, Dr. Hyde brings an extensive medical knowledge indicative of his impressive academic background.

Dr. Hyde graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado Denver. He received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.

After completing an internal medicine internship, Dr. Hyde went on to complete a four-year anatomic and clinical pathology residency, during which he was also chief resident, and a surgical pathology fellowship, all from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He later finished a hematopathology fellowship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

During his postgraduate training, Dr. Hyde garnered a broad range of teaching experience. He administered the physical exams for first- and secondyear medical student primary care courses at George Washington Medical University. At the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, he was the instructor of the physician assistant pathology course and the second-year medical student pathology course, for which he won the Award for Excellence as a mentor and instructor three years in a row.

Dr. Hyde is the medical director of hematology, FISH, and electrophoresis, as well as the CLIA laboratory director of Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. Dr. Hyde belongs to four professional medical organizations, including the American Society of Hematology and the College of American Pathologists. He holds full medical licensure and is board certified in hematology and anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology.

Dr. Hyde has coauthored six articles and abstracts that have subsequently been published in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has also given numerous presentations at Morbidity & Mortality Review Boards, and intra- and interdepartmental educational conferences.
