Biography
Trinity Pathology Associates, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Kelli Chase, M.D., M.B.A., as a part of its dynamic medical team. Dr. Chase is a board-certified pathologist who brings extensive professional medical and leadership experience. Her areas of interest include general surgical pathology and breast pathology.
Dr. Chase graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Point Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, California. She earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Chase completed her PGY-1 residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Creighton University School of Medicine followed by her PGY-2-4 residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of California, San Diego, where she served as chief resident. She then completed a fellowship in surgical pathology, also at UCSD in San Diego. Following her degrees and postgraduate training, she earned her Master of Business Administration degree in healthcare management at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, where she graduatedwith honors.
Dr. Chase has held numerous positions as a pathologist in various healthcare settings and has held several medical directorships. She was a pathologist, and later laboratory medical director, at Laboratory Corporation of America in San Diego for 15 years. While at Laboratory Corporation of America, she was also the medical director at AltheaDX in San Diego. Since 2002, she has been a member of the Affiliated Pathologists Medical Group in Rancho Dominguez, CA, where she has been a staff pathologist, held the position of group shareholder and owner and was director of the board of directors. Since 2015, she has been a pathologist and laboratory medical director at Adventist Health System in St. Helena, CA.
Dr. Chase coauthored a peer-reviewed manuscript that was published in the Journal of the Chemical Society.
Dr. Chase belongs to multiple professional organizations. She is a member of the Point Loma Nazarene University Research Associates and the California Society of Pathologists. She is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists.
Dr. Chase holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic pathology.
