Biography

Consultants in Laboratory Medicine, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice is privileged to include Niki Stamos Kotevski, M.D., F.C.A.P., F.A.S.C.P., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Stamos Kotevski has extensive hospital and professional experience with an impressive academic and research background.

Dr. Stamos Kotevski graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University in Ohio. She then received her medical degree from the Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown.

Dr. Stamos Kotevski went on to finish a four-year anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio, during which she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Here, she subsequently completed a cytopathology fellowship. She later finished a gastrointestinal pathology fellowship at the MetroHealth System in Cleveland, Ohio.

During her postgraduate training, Dr. Stamos Kotevski frequently delivered case presentations and lectures at training hospitals across Ohio. Upon completing her medical education in 2015, she began working with Consultants in Laboratory Medicine, where she continues to serve as a Staff Pathologist.

Dr. Stamos Kotevski is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and she is a member of four other professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association. She holds full medical licensure in the states of Michigan and Ohio, and she is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology.

Dr. Stamos Kotevski has extensive research experience with the Summit County Medical Examiners Office, Akron Children’s Hospital and the University of Louisville Department of Plastic Surgery. She has coauthored peer-reviewed articles that have subsequently been published in medical journals. She has also delivered a number of oral and poster presentations at professional medical conferences.
