Dr. JiYi Wang is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and hematopathology by the American Board of Pathology. He received his M.D. degree from Henan Medical University in Henan, P.R. China where he also completed his medical residency. Dr. Wang received his M.S degree from the Peking Union Medical College & Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in Beijing, P. R. China where he also completed a research fellowship in radiation and molecular oncology at the Cancer Institute, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Dr. Wang completed postdoctoral research training in several oncologic sub-specialties including radiation oncology at Colorado State University, in medical oncology and molecular genetics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and in molecular genetics at Boston University. He also completed a three-year research and clinical genetics fellowship at the New England Medical Center – Tufts University School of Medicine, while also serving as the Scientific Director of the Molecular Cytogentics Core Facilities. Dr. Wang then completed his pathology residency at University Hospital – State University of New York in Stony Brook. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in hematopathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital – Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and a fellowship in gastrointestinal pathology at Rhode Island Hospital – Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Wang has published several articles on pathology, genetics, as well as molecular diagnostics and is a frequent presenter at national and international forums. He is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and a member of the American Society of Hematology, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
