Biography

Pacific Point Laboratories, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Ronald E. Rocha, M.D., as a part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Rocha is a board-certified pathologist with interests in general surgical pathology and cytology.

Dr. Rocha graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. He earned his medical degree from the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He served a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of California, Los Angeles, before completing a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Rocha has extensive pathology and diagnostic experience. He started as an anatomic and clinical pathologist at St. Mary- Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. Prior to joining Pacific Point Laboratories, he was an anatomic and clinical pathologist at the Affiliated Pathologists of the Central Coast and Central Coast Pathology Consultants in San Luis Obispo, CA. Dr. Rocha has also held a number of leadership positions throughout his career. He was the laboratory director at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital in Arroyo Grande, CA; French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo; and WestPac Labs in Santa Fe Springs, CA. He spent over a decade as the president of Central Coast Pathology Consultants and president of Affiliated Pathologists of the Central Coast.

Dr. Rocha belongs to the American Society of Clinical Pathology, California Society of Pathologists, College of American Pathologists, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

Dr. Rocha holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
