Biography

LMC Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice is privileged to include Paulette Mhawech-Fauceglia, M.D., as a valued member of our medical staff. Dr. Mhawech-Fauceglia brings with her a knowledge that comes from her experience as an instructor and leading professional in her field.

Dr. Mhawech-Fauceglia began her extensive medical education by obtaining her medical degree from the Universite de Saint Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon. Following a one-year internal medicine internship at the Hotel-Dieu France in Paris, she completed two anatomic and clinical pathology residencies: first at the Metropolitan Group Hospitals of Illinois in Chicago, and then at the University of Texas at Galveston.

During her time in Switzerland, Dr. Mhawech-Fauceglia served as both director of the immunohistochemistry lab and professor of surgical pathology at the Geneva University Hospital. In a similar dual role, she served as director and professor of Gynecologic Pathology Services at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. Most recently, she served as director and professor of gynecologic-oncologic pathology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.

With impressive research and academic experience, Dr. Mhawech-Fauceglia has raised millions of dollars in grant money for her research projects. She is a national and international speaker, with more than 170 publications in peer journals on the topics of gynecologic oncology, and several book chapters. She is a member of several professional societies, such as the College of American Pathologists and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

Dr. Mhawech-Fauceglia holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
