Biography

Dr. Jack Charney is board certified in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He received his M.D. degree from the State University of New York in Buffalo, New York. Subsequently, Dr. Charney completed an internship in anatomic pathology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York followed by his residency in anatomic pathology at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York, New York. He then completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York, where he also served as Chief Resident and later completed fellowships in both hematopathology and cytopathology. Prior to joining CBLPath, Dr. Charney was an Attending Pathologist for Beth Israel Medical Center, for eight years, where he specialized in gastrointestinal and liver pathology. While there, he served as Pathologist-in-Charge of the Liver Pathology Division, Associate Director of the Residency Training Program, Associate Director of Surgical Pathology, and most recently as Co-Director for Anatomic Pathology. Dr. Charney is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
