Biography
CytoPath, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is pleased to include Hina Samad (Khokhar), M.D., as part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Samad is a board-certified pathologist with specialized training in hematopathology.
Dr. Samad earned her medical degree from the Services Institute of Medical Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan. She had internships in internal medicine and ophthalmology, also at the Services Institute of Medical Sciences. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where she was chief resident. This was followed by a hematopathology fellowship at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida. She’s had multiple observerships in psychiatry and behavioral health, first at All American Behavioral Health Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and at the Royal Oaks Pediatric Psychiatry Hospital in Windsor, Missouri. She’s also had observerships in cardiology at Detroit Medical Center in Michigan, in hematopathology at the Department of Combined Military Hospital in Lahore, and in pathology at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Dr. Samad has given numerous presentations at a variety of professional conferences and annual meetings. This includes the annual meetings of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathology. She has two publications in the process of peer review. One in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the other in The American Journal of Surgical Pathology.
Dr. Samad belongs to multiple professional organizations. These include the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, among others.
Dr. Samad holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
