Biography

LMC Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Julieta G. Tablante-Blanco, M.D., as a part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Tablante-Blanco is a board-certified pathologist with subspecialty expertise in cytopathology.

Dr. Tablante-Blanco graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Manila Central University in Manila, Philippines. She earned her medical degree from Manila Central University School of Medicine in Caloocan City, Philippines. She served her residency in clinical pathology at the Mallory Institute of Pathology and Boston University Training Program in Boston, Massachusetts, where she served as chief resident. Following her residency, she completed a cytopathology fellowship at the same institution.

Dr. Tablante-Blanco was a physician’s assistant at Reyes-Santos Clinical and Hospital before becoming a staff pathologist at Angeles City Medical Center, both in Angeles City, Philippines. Following the completion of her fellowship, she took a position as a staff pathologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Faulkner Hospital in Boston, MA. She was the medical director at United Memorial and Kelsey Hospitals Laboratory in Greenville and Lakeview, Michigan. This was followed by a medical director position at Spectrum Health Regional Laboratory in Grand Rapids, MI. Prior to joining LMC Pathology Services, she spent over 20 years as a staff pathologist with Michigan Pathology Specialists in Grand Rapids. During this time, she was also medical director and vice chief of staff at Corewell Health Zeeland Community Hospital Laboratory in Grand Rapids. She is currently a clinical adjunct professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing.

Dr. Tablante-Blanco has a peer-reviewed manuscript published in the Archives of Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery and has presented abstracts at meetings of the American Society of Human Genetics and the United States and Clinical Academy of Pathology.

Dr. Tablante-Blanco belongs to the Michigan Society of Pathologists, College of American Pathologists, American Society of Clinical Pathology, and the American College of Cytology. In addition to membership, she is a certified College of American Pathologists lab inspector.

Dr. Tablante-Blanco holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic pathology and cytopathology.
