Biography

GPA Laboratories, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice, is privileged to include Mary E. Georoff, M.D., as a member of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Georoff has an extensive academic, teaching, and medical professional background.

Dr. Georoff earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in biological sciences from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, graduating with distinction, cum laude. She went on to receive her Master of Arts degree in physiology and pharmacology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, followed by her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. She later completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Edward W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan

Upon completion of her postgraduate training, Dr. Georoff began holding key positions in a variety of hospitals, laboratories, and universities. She was an instructor resident at Michigan State University in Lansing, and an associate pathologist and associate medical director at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She served as medical director at Winter Park Memorial Hospital and AmeriPath University Surgical Center in Winter Park, Florida, prior to her position with GPA Laboratories.

Over the years, Dr. Georoff has developed extensive professional experience. She holds medical research publications and articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, as well as oral and poster presentations at medical conferences, hospitals, and universities. She is a fellow of the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the College of American Pathologists, as well as an active member of the American Medical Association, International Society of Breast Pathology, North American Society of Head and Neck Pathology, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

Dr. Georoff holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
