Biography

GPA Laboratories, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice, is privileged to include Mark S. Jordan, M.D., as a member of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Jordan has an extensive academic and medical professional background.

Dr. Jordan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. He went on to complete an internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia before completing his pathology residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Upon completion of his postgraduate training, Dr. Jordan began holding key positions in a variety of medical settings. He has served as a medical examiner for Rockingham County, Virginia, and a chief medical officer, chief of staff, and laboratory medical director at Moorhead Memorial Hospital, now known as UNC Rockingham Health Care, prior to his position with GPA Laboratories.

Over the years, Dr. Jordan has developed extensive professional experience. He is an active member of the College of American Pathologists.

Dr. Jordan holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
