Biography

ProPath, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Robert M. Law, M.D., F.C.A.P., as a part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Law brings considerable experience to his position. He’s been published numerous times and holds a United States patent.

Dr. Law graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed a pediatrics internship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital followed by a research fellowship in neurology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He served his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. This was followed by a fellowship in dermatopathology in Johns Hopkins Department of Dermatology.

Dr. Law has been a dermatopathologist with ProPath in Dallas, Texas, since 2005. During this time, he has also held a dual appointment as clinical assistant professor in the pathology and dermatology departments at University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine in Dallas. In 2006, he won the Outstanding Teaching Faculty Award for his work teaching UT Southwestern Medical Center dermatology residents. Dr. Law holds a patent, issued in 2004, for glutamate transporter associated proteins and methods of use thereof.

Dr. Law has articles published in journals such as Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology; World Journal of Gastroenterology, and the International Journal of Dermatology, among others. He has two book chapters in Diagnostic Dermatopathology: A Guide to Ancillary Tests Beyond the H&E on immunofluorescence. He has presented abstracts and been an invited speaker at meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society for Neuroscience, among others.

Dr. Law is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, College of American Pathologists, and the Dallas-Fort Worth Dermatology Society.
