Biography
Pacific Point Laboratories, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Jessica Farrell, D.O., as a part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Farrell is a board-certified pathologist with subspecialty expertise in cytopathology.
Dr. Farrell earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada. She served her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of California San Francisco. This was followed by a surgical pathology fellowship, also at UC San Francisco. She then completed a cytopathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Farrell started as a pathologist at Pathology Associates in Clovis, California. She is currently a pathologist at Affiliated Pathologists of the Central Coast in addition to her position as a pathologist at Pacific Point Laboratories, both in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Dr. Farrell has peer-reviewed manuscripts published in the Journal of the American Society of Cytopathology and Cancer Cytopathology. She has presented her research at annual meetings of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
Dr. Farrell is a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, College of American Pathologists, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
Dr. Farrell holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology.
