Biography
DermDX New England, a Sonic Healthcare dermatopathology practice, is pleased to include Lynne J. Goldberg, M.D., as part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Goldberg is a board-certified dermatopathologist who has extensive professional, teaching, and research experience.
Dr. Goldberg completed her bachelor’s degree at State University of New York (SUNY), Binghamton. She earned her medical degree at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Downstate Medical Center, in Brooklyn, NY. Following her degrees, she completed two residency programs. The first was a residency in internal medicine from New York University’s School of Medicine followed by a residency in dermatology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she served as chief resident. She completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. Goldberg brings considerable experience to her position. Following her fellowship, she became an attending dermatopathologist at the Skin Pathology Laboratory at Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts and joined the Department of Dermatology at Boston Medical Center, where she established a specialty practice in alopecia. She has been director of the Hair Clinic of Boston Medical Center for over 20 years. At the Skin Pathology Laboratory, she serves as an attending dermatopathologist for Boston Medical Center’s Departments of Dermatology and Pathology and serves on the multidisciplinary cutaneous oncology tumor board. Dr. Goldberg has also taught extensively at local, national, and international meetingsin dermatopathology.
Dr. Goldberg has a robust background in research and publishing. She sat on the editorial board for the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology and is a peer reviewer for over 25 medical journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Journal of Dermatopathology, and Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, among many others. She herself has a significant number of peer-reviewed articles published in prestigious journals and has given numerous invited talks and presentations.
Dr. Goldberg is a member of multiple professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatopathology, International Society of Dermatopathology, and the North American Hair Research Society. She has also sat on the board of directors for the American Society of Dermatopathology and the American Hair Research Society.
Dr. Goldberg holds full medical licensure and is board certified in internal medicine, dermatology, and dermatopathology.
