Biography

Mid-Atlantic Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare Dermatopathology Practice is privileged to include Elizabeth M. Dugan, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Dugan has extensive professional experience with an impressive academic background.

Since concluding her postgraduate training, Dr. Dugan has garnered considerable experience in a series of key positions across hospitals and practices in Maryland and Washington, DC. She was director of dermatopathology and dermatoimmunology at the Washington Hospital Center for over a decade, as well as director of dermatopathology at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she later served as associate professor of medicine. She was also director and owner of both Phoenix Diagnostics Laboratory for Skin Pathology and her own private consultative service. She was the associate director of dermatopathology at the MedStar Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center prior to joining Mid-Atlantic Pathology Services, where she currently serves as staff dermatopathologist.

Dr. Dugan belongs several professional medical organizations, including the American Society of Dermatopathology and the John Carroll Society. She holds full medical licensure in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. She is board-certified in dermatopathology, dermatology, and dermatological immunology/diagnostic, and laboratory immunology.

Dr. Dugan has been published extensively and has given numerous presentations at professional medical conferences.
