Chuck Dlabik is Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel for Sonic Healthcare USA. He served in the role in an Acting capacity since July 2023, and was appointed to the permanent position in March 2024. Chuck previously held the position of General Counsel of SHUSA’s Anatomic Pathology Division (formerly Aurora Diagnostics) since 2019.
Chuck leads SHUSA’s Legal Department with a breadth of legal, compliance, healthcare, regulatory, business, management and government experience.
Prior to joining Sonic Healthcare USA, Chuck served as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel at Orthofix Medical Inc., a global medical device company in Dallas. He held previous roles including federal prosecutor with the United States Attorney’s Office (Eastern District of Virginia) and Chief Counsel to the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (while working for the United States Department of Defense’s Office of General Counsel.) Preceding his positions with the federal government, Chuck served as a federal judicial law clerk to United States District Judge Wilkie Ferguson, Southern District of Florida, and as a law clerk to Justice Barbara Pariente of the Florida Supreme Court.
Before his legal career, Chuck worked in journalism as a newspaper and on-air radio news reporter, and is a proud graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Chuck is licensed to practice law in both Florida and New Jersey, and will be seeking admission to the Texas Bar Association
