Bob Copeland serves as Sonic Healthcare USA’s Chief Information Officer. As a technology leader with over 35 years of experience in the Diagnostic Laboratory Medicine space, he has acquired a diverse skill set in the industry. For 15 years, he owned a Texas-based software company specializing in healthcare applications, followed by his role as CIO of Ameripath. His experience in building a technical team and providing solutions to the lab industry is extensive. Bob began his 16-year career with Sonic Healthcare USA as the VP of Pathology Services, transitioning into his current as CIO, 7 years later.
His broad knowledge of healthcare has led him to focus on the national laboratory space. Bob has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, is a Brown Belt Six Sigma with specialties in Healthcare Marketing, Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Development, Medical Billing, Software Development, and Project Management.
