Biography
Cleveland Skin Pathology, a Sonic Healthcare dermatopathology practice is privileged to include Christine Jaworsky, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Jaworsky has extensive professional and hospital experience with an impressive academic and teaching background.
Dr. Jaworsky completed a pre-pharmacy program at the University of Illinois in Chicago before achieving a pharmacy degree at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Following a medical internship at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey, Dr. Jaworsky served a three-year residency in dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. She later completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Upon the completion of her postgraduate training, Dr. Jaworsky served as Instructor and Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where she received an award for teaching excellence. During this time, she was also on the staff of the University of Pennsylvania hospital. For 17 years, she was Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University, where she has been Professor of Dermatology since 2011. She has been on the staff of the MetroHealth Medical Center since 1994.
Dr. Jaworsky is a member of six professional medical organizations, such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology. She holds full medical licensure in seven states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Virginia. She is board-certified in dermatopathology and dermatology, with specialty certification in dermatologic immunology and diagnostic and laboratory immunology.
A noted academician, Dr. Jaworsky has frequently been an invited lecturer to many professional society meetings throughout her career. She has given numerous presentations and has authored and coauthored over 50 publications and book chapters for peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. She is also a peer-reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Dermatology and the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology.
