Biography

Consultants in Laboratory Medicine, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice, is privileged to have Andrew H. Oliff, M.D., PhD, be a part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Oliff has an impressive and extensive academic and medical professional background.

Dr. Oliff earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, graduating with distinction, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Subsequently, he earned his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He also concurrently completed and received his PhD at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He then went on to complete his anatomic pathology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY. He transitioned into his neuropathology fellowship and his surgical pathology fellowship also at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he became chief resident in his final year before concluding his post-graduate training. He then became a pathologist at the Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Oliff has extensive experience working in laboratory research environments, as well as medical hospitals over the years. He continues his practice of anatomic pathology where he most recently held positions for the laboratory director and attending pathologist at the Plainview Hospital of Nassau County, NY.

Over the years, Dr. Oliff has developed extensive anatomical, professional, and medical experience. He has presented case study and research findings at the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Neuropathologists and at the Ninth International Congress of Immunology. He has acted as a consulting pathologist, attending pathologist, laboratory director, and pathologist at various medical centers. His positions as laboratory director and attending pathologist put him in a recognizable position as a medical professional serving the greater community.

Dr. Oliff is a member of the College of American Pathologists. He has been honored with many academic achievements, has participated in numerous presentations, and has had his research widely published.

Dr. Oliff holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic pathology.
