Biography
LMC Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice is privileged to include Todd C. Murry, M.D., Ph.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Murry has extensive hospital and professional experience with an impressive academic and teaching background.
Dr. Murry graduated cum laude with two Bachelor of Science degrees in physics and astrophysics from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Here, he attended the School of Medicine to receive his medical degree and Ph.D. concurrently.
Dr. Murry went on to serve a three-year anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He later completed a surgical pathology fellowship at the Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania, part of which was served on Dr. David Elder’s consultation service. He then finished a dermatopathology fellowship at the Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City.
During his postgraduate training, Dr. Murry regularly held educational conferences and gave lectures to medical students and staff at universities and teaching hospitals. While at Vanderbilt, he participated in approximately 50 hospital-wide conferences and grand rounds, taught pathology courses, and held organ presentations. He also gave weekly slide lectures to pathology residents while at the University of Pennsylvania and Weill Cornell Medical College. He has worked for LMC for over 20 years and has been the director of the Southern Hills Hospital Tumor Board in Las Vegas since 2004.
Dr. Murry is a member of four professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association and the College of American Pathologists. He has co-authored several articles and book chapters published in peer-reviewed medical journals and textbooks. He has also given many oral and poster presentations at professional society meetings.
He holds full medical licensure and is board certified in dermatopathology and anatomic and clinical pathology.
