Biography

Cascade Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Roberto Anker, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Anker has extensive hospital and professional experience with an impressive academic background.

Dr. Anker graduated with a degree in mathematics and biology from the Austral University of Chile in Valdivia. He received his medical degree from the University of Chile School of Medicine in Santiago, where he subsequently completed a postdoctoral immunology fellowship.

After relocating to the United States, Dr. Anker completed another postdoctoral fellowship at the Guthrie University Research Institute in Sayre, Pennsylvania.

He went on to complete a microbiology and immunology fellowship at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He concluded his postgraduate training with an anatomic and clinical pathology residency and a surgical pathology fellowship, both at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Anker has since had a considerable career in laboratory directorship positions at several institutions, including Legacy Mt. Hood Medical Center in Gresham, Oregon.

Dr. Anker currently holds full medical licensure. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology and molecular genetic pathology.
