Brazos Valley Pathology, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice, is privileged to include Myra Wong, M.D., as a member of its medical staff. Dr. Wong brings with her an impressive academic background with leadership and teaching experience.

Dr. Wong graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Texas A&M University in College Station. She was awarded the Texas A&M Foundation President’s Endowed Scholarship and as a Texas A&M College of Science Distinguished Student and Texas A&M Department of Biology Outstanding Graduate for her academic achievements. Subsequently, she earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Wong went on to serve an internal medicine internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston followed by an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Here, she also served a surgical pathology fellowship followed by a cytopathology fellowship.

During her training, Dr. Wong held several leadership positions and garnered significant teaching experience. She served as a co-chair of the Baylor College of Medicine Charity Ball Committee and a medical student mentor for the Baylor College of Medicine Peer Resource Network. With the College of American Pathologists, she was a residents forum delegate. She also taught physician assistant students and first-year medical students as well as incoming pathology residents at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Wong has given abstract presentations at national medical conferences and her research efforts have been published as articles in peer-reviewed publications.
