Dr. Ellen Kwark is board certified in anatomic pathology and dermatopathology by the American Board of Pathology. She received her M.D. degree from Jeonbug National University Medical School, Republic of Korea. Dr. Kwark completed her pathology residency at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, Maryland and at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, where she also served as Chief Resident. Subsequently, she completed her fellowship in dermatopathology under Dr. A. Bernard Ackerman at New York University Hospital. For almost 20 years Dr. Kwark served as Attending Pathologist at Westchester Medical Center and as Assistant & adjunct Professor at New York Medical College. Additionally, she held Consulting Dermatopathologist positions at SmithKline-Beecham Clinical Lab, Inc. and Metropolitan Hospital in New York.
Prior to her arrival at CBLPath, Dr. Kwark served as Senior Dermatopathologist at Quest Diagnostics, Inc. in Teterboro, New Jersey. She has published several articles as well as presented on dermatopathology case presentations at various pathologists’ societies and in-house grand rounds. Dr. Kwark is a fellow of the American Society of Dermatopathology and the College of American Pathologists.
