Biography

Dr. Esther Cheng is a breast pathologist at CBLPath Inc. She has a medical specialty a board certification as diplomat, American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology. She became a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY.

Dr. Cheng completed residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, NY, followed by a fellowship in breast pathology. Prior to joining CBLPath, Dr. Cheng was an assistant professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medicine, where she gained extensive experience teaching invasive carcinoma, and the basis of disease to medical residents and served as a mentor to first-year medical residents.

Dr. Cheng is an active member of the Breast Interdisciplinary Tumor Board, Breast Radiology-Pathology Interdisciplinary Conference, Multidisciplinary Breast Conference, and Clinical Competency Committee. She has been honored with numerous achievements, including her presentation of research, book reviews, and abstracts at international and national meetings.

Dr. Cheng is a fellow of the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology, College of American Pathologists, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and the New York Pathological Society.
